Unwanted fat is one of the most common cosmetic issues that people struggle with. Many people range from slightly overweight to obese. The diet/fitness industry rakes in huge sums of money each year, promising to help shed pounds and burn off stubborn body fat. When we consume more calories than we can burn, we will store this extra energy as fat.
Even a few extra pounds have the potential to increase the chances of high blood pressure, and elevated blood sugar, which can lead to Diabetes. Heart disease, stroke and type 2 diabetes, as well as certain cancers, have all been linked to excess weight.
Fat Reduction helps rid of stubborn fat on various parts of the body that won’t go away, no matter how much you diet and exercise.
Non-surgical fat removal
Until recently, removing problem areas of stubborn fat from the body required Liposuction surgery, as no non-invasive options were effective, reliable or safe as alternatives. Surgery is still the preferred solution for many, but it is not without inherent risks and scarring associated with all surgical procedures. Another drawback for the surgical liposuction option is that when underlying fat is removed- often the overlying, lax skin will appear saggy and aged as it’s support from underneath is removed. Not everyone has healthy, young, elastic skin; and the potential for retraction of loose skin should always be considered when considering liposuction fat removal.
Non-surgical, non-invasive fat removal options sound like a quick and simple solution, but there are considerations and imitations to know about – as with any cosmetic procedure. These effective alternatives are generally not practiced on significantly overweight and obese patients, nor are they effective for deep, visceral fat that surrounds the internal organs. Ideal candidates for these procedures are usually healthy, have a healthy body weight, and localized problem fat areas to reduce. Laser and ultrasound fat reduction is non-invasive, and typically melts or otherwise destroys fat cells while having the dual benefit of skin tightening, because of collagen stimulation in the tissues.
OUR OTHER TREATMENTS
Men and women tend to carry fat on their bodies differently. For instance, men usually gain pockets or rolls of fat on their bellies and flanks that are referred to as a “gut”, “beer belly” or “love handles.” A large firm belly that protrudes more commonly represents internal, visceral fat – and can put you at a greater risk for type-2 diabetes and other health problems.
Women tend to carry their extra weight on the buttocks, thighs and abdomen, as well as arms. Women can have internal visceral fat as well – especially after menopause, but the dimply, soft fat of the thighs and bottom are typically subcutaneous, adipose fat, which is very hard to shed through diet and exercise alone. Many people also notice that once they have gained fat on their faces, after weight loss, it remains in the form of a double chin. Submental or double chin fat can also be hereditary, and often people are frustrated that this feature can make them look larger and older than they are.
How Fat Reduction works
The controlled cooling technology of Fat Reduction will target and kill the fat cells in the selected area without harming the skin or surrounding tissue. Over the course of the following weeks after your treatment, your body processes the fat and eliminates it from the body naturally. While dieting and exercise makes the fat cells smaller, Fat Reduction gets rid of them completely, allowing you to enjoy long-lasting results!
During your first visit, you will have a one-on-one with one of our medical professionals to discuss which areas you want treated. Whether you’re looking to lose the fat in your abdomen, flank, inner thigh, outer thighs, chin, or any combination of these, your clinician will help you create an individualized treatment plan that will transform your body.
Safe. Pain Free. Hair Free.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Fat Reduction can be used to treat:
• Tummy pooch
• Fat on the inner thighs

Fat Reduction treatments are completely safe. Because the skin and tissues that surround the fat cells are water based, they can withstand much lower temperatures than the fat cells themselves. This allows the carefully controlled cooling device to only freeze the fat, leaving the rest of the body unharmed.
Rather than shrinking the fat cells, Fat Reduction gets rid of them completely. This means that you can enjoy long-lasting results without fear that the fat cells you lost will be return.
Pulling, tugging, and mild pinching sensations may be felt during your Fat Reduction procedure. You may also feel cramping, aching, stinging, tingling, and intense cold, but these side effects subside quickly as the treatment continues.
After the treatment, there may be redness, firmness, swelling, mild bruising, cramping, or tenderness. These are all temporary and should dissipate quickly, though you should contact a doctor if any of this continue after 2 weeks.
Rare side effects include freeze burn, paradoxical hyperplasia, vasovagal symptoms, subcutaneous induration, hyperpigmentation, late-onset pain, and hernias. These, however, are extremely uncommon.
Although there may be some discomfort to begin with, such as intense cold, stinging, cramping, and aching, it only lasts for about 5 to 10 minutes until the area becomes numb. After that, the Fat Reduction procedure is very comfortable, allowing the patient to read, use their laptops, or even take a nap during their treatment.
The perfect Fat Reduction candidate is someone who is close to their ideal weight, with some noticeable excess fat that they would like to get rid of. Fat Reduction isn’t a cure for obesity, although multiple treatments would result in losing more fat.
